South Korea’s Consumer Confidence Remains Positive for 8th Month

South Korea’s consumer confidence stayed above the neutral level for an eighth straight month in December, pointing to continued household optimism.

The composite consumer sentiment index stood at 109.9, down 2.5 points from November’s eight-year high, according to a Bank of Korea report released Wednesday. Despite the pullback, the gauge remains comfortably above the neutral 100 mark.
