Dynamite’s CEO Lambastes Quebec Premier Legault Over Immigration

The head of fast-fashion retailer Groupe Dynamite Inc. sharply criticized Quebec Premier Francois Legault, threatening again to move the company’s headquarters if the provincial government doesn’t relax its restrictive immigration policies.

The Mount Royal, Quebec-based firm, which owns the Garage and Dynamite banners, went public late last year. It’s been one of the best-performing stocks in Canada in 2025, returning about 320%. In recent months, Chief Executive Officer Andrew Lutfy has publicly critiqued Quebec’s immigration policies, saying they prevent him from recruiting and retaining talent.
