European Stocks Close at a Record After Soft US Inflation Print

European stocks closed at an all-time high as US inflation cooled and the region’s central bank forecast stronger economic growth.

The Stoxx Europe 600 advanced 1% at the close, surpassing its November closing record after data showed underlying US inflation rose in November at the slowest annual pace since early 2021. The index is still slightly below its intraday peak of 586.33 points.
