Bari Weiss Makes New Hires at CBS News Amid Network Shakeup

Bari Weiss, the new editor-in-chief of CBS News, is putting her stamp on the network’s leadership with fresh hires from the tech and publishing industries.

The news organization, which is owned by Paramount Skydance Corp., named Sam Siegel as its chief operating officer, according to an email Weiss sent to staff Wednesday that was reviewed by Bloomberg. Siegel previously served as COO and chief financial officer at data management platform Zoomin, which was acquired by Salesforce Inc. last year.
