Brussels should, by rights, be a global dining destination. Belgium has its own strong gastronomic tradition, mixing French and Flemish cuisine with some quality beer thrown in. Likewise, the capital is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world: Almost half of the population was born outside the country. In fact, 186 nationalities are represented here, which means the city boasts restaurants not just from all over Europe, but farther afield, too.
