S&P 500 Extends Drop as Jobs Data Fails to Lift Rate-Cut Spirits
US stocks fell on Tuesday as signs of a sluggish job market didn’t change the outlook for interest-rate cuts from the Federal Reserve.
The S&P 500 Index finished 0.2% lower in New York, notching a third-straight day of declines, following the release of a delayed jobs report for November and October. The Nasdaq 100 Index gained 0.3%.
