Star Names Bruce Mathieson Jr. New CEO as Bally’s Takes Control

Star Entertainment Group Ltd. named Bruce Mathieson Jr. its new chief executive officer, the latest change to the Australian casino operator’s leadership as a group led by Bally’s Corp. takes control.

Mathieson has been serving as chairman and will remain on the board as an executive director, Star said in a statement on Wednesday. He replaces Steve McCann, who left the company on Tuesday after just over a year at the helm.
