“Since taking up the duties of the presidency in January 2024, Alan has demonstrated even more fully the remarkable qualities apparent during his twelve-plus years as Harvard’s provost and chief academic officer,” Penny Pritzker, senior fellow of Harvard Corp., said in a statement Monday. “He is a servant leader with uncommon intellectual breadth and unbounded curiosity.”
