Germany plans to deepen its defense cooperation with Ukraine, including for the first time the possibility of acquiring weapons and battlefield data from Kyiv, alongside a potential peace agreement under discussion in Berlin.

The government of Chancellor Friedrich Merz presented a 10-point defense cooperation plan, seen by Bloomberg News, which calls for “accelerating the integration of Ukrainian industry into the European market for defense equipment” as well as “the inclusion of defense equipment of Ukrainian production.”
