Billionaire Coupang Founder Rejects Summons to Data Leak Hearing

Coupang Inc.’s founder Bom Kim told South Korean lawmakers he won’t attend this week’s parliamentary hearing on the country’s largest-ever data breach, blaming his busy schedule.

Kim, who also serves as Coupang’s chief executive officer and the head of its board, submitted a formal statement declining to appear before lawmakers, according to Choi Min-hee, who heads a parliamentary committee for science, ICT and broadcasting.
