Russia Sends EU a Warning Over Assets as Pressure Mounts on Kyiv

Russia is attempting to disrupt European Union plans to use its frozen assets to help Ukraine’s war effort as the two sides tussle for advantage ahead of possible peace talks.

The Russian central bank said Friday it’s filing a lawsuit in Moscow against the Belgian depository holds billions of euros of Kremlin money just as Ukraine unleashed further attacks against the Vladimir Putin’s war machine. Kyiv said its forces attacked two Russian cargo ships carrying weapons in the Caspian Sea and President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s visited the war zone to challenge Putin’s claim that his forces had take control of the town of Kupyansk.
