Trump’s ballroom project will still be 90,000 square feet under the new architect, according to a person familiar with the project. Flatbed trucks carrying enormous steel caissons and other heavy equipment for deep structural work began arriving at the White House in early November. Foundations are currently being poured. With construction already underway, the die is cast: Trump will see his vision completed.
