Hundreds of women who say they were sexually abused by former Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed have won more control over how their claims are assessed after the department store agreed to negotiate with their lawyers rather than sticking with its own compensation process.

KP Law, which says it represents about 260 women — the largest group of Fayed survivors — said in a statement that it had struck a deal to negotiate directly with both Harrods and the Al Fayed family estate.
