Engie, CIP Vie for Orsted’s European Onshore Wind Unit

French utility Engie SA and Danish investor Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners are competing for the European onshore wind business of Orsted A/S, according to people familiar with the matter.
Final bids for the assets are expected this week, said the people, who asked not to be identified as the information is private. The business could be valued at about €1 billion ($1.2 billion) or slightly more, the people said.
