Bolivian Ex-President Arce Held in Embezzlement Probe

Former Bolivian President Luis Arce has been arrested as part of an embezzlement probe just over a month after the socialist economist left office.

Arce was the “main person responsible” for tens of millions of dollars in losses from a fund intended to help Indigenous and rural communities, Minister of Government Marco Antonio Oviedo told reporters in La Paz on Wednesday evening.
