Blackstone-Backed Mollie Nears Takeover of UK Fintech GoCardless

Dutch payments firm Mollie is expected to announce it has completed its acquisition of British fintech unicorn GoCardless as early as this week, boosting its capabilities in payment processing, according to people familiar with the matter.

It comes roughly a year after GoCardless embarked on a secondary share sale for investors and early employees, only to halt the process a few months later when it began courting buyers instead.
