Aegon’s Asset Manager to Grow in Alternative Fixed Income, CLOs

Aegon Ltd. wants to lift fees from managing assets for outside clients by attracting more money into structured financial securities.

The company’s asset manager aims to boost “third-party flows in the space of alternative fixed income, CLOs and other key strategies,” Aegon Chief Executive Officer Lard Friese said in an interview, referring to collateralized loan obligations. These “are usually also higher revenue generating than plain vanilla fixed income strategies,” he said.
