A16z Crypto Eyes Asia Expansion With First Office in South Korea

Venture capital firm a16z crypto is opening an office in Seoul, joining a growing list of digital-asset companies that are expanding into Asia.

The region “now represents a significant share of global crypto activity,” a16z crypto Chief Operating Officer Anthony Albanese said in an emailed statement. “Over the coming years, we plan to grow our presence in Asia, add new capabilities to support our crypto companies operating there, and keep exploring new ways to expand our geographic footprint.”
