US equities posted small moves on Tuesday as investors waited for clues from the Federal Reserve and artificial intelligence bellwethers about whether to go long or cash out heading into 2026.

The S&P 500 Index was little changed in New York after the gauge halted a four-day advance in the previous trading session. The technology-heavy Nasdaq 100 Index closed the day up 0.2%.
