US Fund EJF Readies Double-Digit Yield SRTs From Regional Banks

Alternative asset manager EJF Capital plans to expand its investments in significant risk transfers from US regional banks, its co-chief executive officer Neal Wilson said.

The firm is working with “seven or eight smaller US regional banks” on potential SRT deals tied to loan portfolios totaling around $3.25 billion, said Wilson, who is also the firm’s co-chief investment officer. The transactions could be priced at yields in the low double digits, he added.
