Czech billionaire Andrej Babis made his political comeback as premier with pledges to make good on promises to reverse years of austerity.

His return tilts Czech politics to the right, adding a more critical approach to the European Union. Babis has vowed to maintain the country’s membership in the bloc and NATO even as he raised questions over a Czech-led initiative that supplies ammunition to Ukraine.
