Germany Speeds Up Anti-Drone Measures as Airport Incursions Mount

Airline passengers preparing to land in Berlin just in time for Halloween were in for a nasty surprise when the engines of the aircraft suddenly revved up again and the plane began circling over the German capital.

Soon they learned why: Berlin Brandenburg Airport had been shut down after a witness reported seeing a drone. The flight coming in from London was diverted to Dresden, where the aircraft sat alongside other stranded jets and weary travelers waited for hours to continue their journeys.
