Macron Says He’ll Push for EU Preference for Electric Cars

French President Emmanuel Macron said he’ll back a “European preference” for electric vehicles as Brussels draws up new proposals for the auto industry.

“We support more technological flexibility to have more technological neutrality by 2035,” he said during a three-day state visit to China, adding that there was consensus with Germany on this.
