IMF Notes Bondholder Worries on Senegal Debt Amid Funding Talks

The International Monetary Fund is aware of bondholders’ concerns that Senegal may have to restructure its debt, the lender said this week after the latest round of talks with the West African country.

IMF staff discussed Senegal’s “significant debt vulnerabilities” with government officials during a recent mission to the capital, Dakar, including options on how to deal with them, IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack said at a briefing in Washington.
