Data Center Startup Fluidstack in Talks for $7 Billion Valuation
The cloud-computing startup Fluidstack is in talks to raise roughly $700 million in a funding round that would value the company at $7 billion, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Situational Awareness, a firm started by ex-OpenAI researcher Leopold Aschenbrenner, is in talks to lead the financing, the person said, asking not to be identified because the information isn’t public. Alphabet Inc.’s Google was in discussions about participating, and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is serving as a banker on the financing, according to the person.
