Mozambique’s economy shrank for a fourth straight quarter as output in the southern African nation’s electricity, gas and water-distribution industry slumped.

The economy contracted 0.9% year-on-year in the three months through September, the same pace as the prior quarter, the Instituto Nacional de Estatística said in statement emailed on Tuesday. Output in the electricity, gas and water distribution industry fell 31.4%.
