BMW AG is pressing the European Union to formally adopt a trade deal with the US that would give the German carmaker respite from ongoing tariff pressure.

“The United States already implemented their part of the deal, retroactively, as of August 1. The EU has not done so,” Chief Executive Officer Oliver Zipse told reporters in Brussels on Tuesday.
