Canada Reaches Deal to Join EU’s Flagship Defense Program

Canada has reached a deal to join the European Union’s €150 billion ($174 billion) military procurement fund, the country’s defense minister said.

David McGuinty said Monday the nation has successfully negotiated entry to the Security Action for Europe program, or SAFE, unlocking billions of dollars in defense opportunities for Canadian businesses.
