UK Delays Imposing Sanctions on Lukoil International Until February

The UK government delayed imposing sanctions on the international unit of Russia’s Lukoil PJSC, the latest example of western governments treading carefully as they target the energy giant.

The UK’s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation saidBloomberg Terminal in a statement that it’s extending the application of sanctions against Lukoil International GmbH and its subsidiaries until Feb. 26. The measures were due to kick in just before midnight on Friday, Nov. 28.
