President Claudia Sheinbaum said she is reviewing a letter regarding the continued tenure of Attorney General Alejandro Gertz Manero, amid reports that he will be replaced over what the government sees as mishandling of sensitive information.

“I received a document from the Senate that I am currently reviewing,” she said at her daily news conference on Thursday. “I will make it public in due course and will be able to inform you tomorrow.”
