Poland is drafting legislation to tax online platforms, seeking to level the playing field for local firms whose foreign competitors aren’t subject to levies in the east European country.

Deputy Premier Krzysztof Gawkowski, who also runs the Digital Affairs Ministry, will present the proposal early next year, he told Bloomberg News. The plan aims to raise about 2.5 billion zloty ($681 million) per year, he said.
