European car sales climbed for a fourth straight month in October, as the region’s automakers continue to push out more affordable electrified models.

New-vehicle registrations rose 4.9% from a year earlier to 1.09 million units, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association said Tuesday. Spain and Germany saw the biggest gains among major markets, while the UK and Italy stagnated.
