Dell Raises Annual Outlook for Shipments of AI Servers

Dell's AI Forecast Isn't Exciting, Susquehanna's Hosseini Says

Dell Technologies Inc. raised its annual projections for the key artificial intelligence server market, a sign of sustained demand for the type of machines needed in the current data center boom.

Dell booked $12.3 billion of AI server orders in the fiscal third quarter, which ended Oct. 31, the company said Tuesday in a statementBloomberg Terminal. Dell shipped $5.6 billion worth of the servers and ended the quarter with backlog of $18.4 billion. The company raised shipment projections for the year to $25 billion from $20 billion.
