Stripe-Owned Nigeria Startup Sacks Co-Founder Olubi Over Tweets
Paystack, the Nigerian fintech unit of Stripe Inc., sacked its co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Ezra Olubi after some of his old tweets resurfaced, which the company said are not consistent with its values.
Olubi’s employment was “terminated” on Nov. 22, the company said in a statement on Monday. “His recently resurfaced public tweets have caused significant negative reputational damage to the company and are not consistent with our values and with the standards we expect from anyone in a leadership position,” it said.
