Telefónica Secures UEFA Broadcasting Rights in €1.5 Billion Deal
Football remains central to Telefónica’s strategy in Spain.

The agreement, covering four seasons from 2027, is provisional pending final sign-off with European football governing body UEFA in the coming days, Telefónica said in a regulatory filing late Thursday. The Spanish carrier will pay €366 million per season — about 14% more than in the previous cycle.
