Kretinsky’s Slovak Power Firm Plans More Bonds After Turnaround

Slovakia’s dominant power utility plans to sell more bonds after tapping the debt market for the first time in 14 years with a debut green issue.

Controlled by Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky, Slovenske Elektrarne AS sees increased issuance as optimal for its debt structure, following a sale of €750 million ($864 million) in seven-year notes last week. The company recently gained BBB credit scores with a stable outlook from both S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings.
