Chile Leftist Presidential Candidate Jeannette Jara Revamps Campaign Leadership

Chile leftist presidential candidate Jeannette Jara reshuffled her campaign team, bringing in former ministers, social media influencers and athletes as she competes as an underdog before next month’s runoff.

Jara told reporters on Friday that she appointed Partido Socialista head Paulina Vodanovic as campaign manager, a day after asking top adviser, Darío Quiroga, to step down. Jara said Quiroga’s departure was part of a decision “to bolster the team and shift the campaign’s focus.”
