At Least Eight Dead in 5.7-Magnitude Quake in Bangladesh

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake in Bangladesh killed at least eight people and left 100 injured Friday, with reports of damage to buildings and fires in and around the capital Dhaka.

The quake struck 13 kilometers (8 miles) east of Dhaka in the town of Madhabdi at around 10 a.m. local time, according to multiple seismic monitoring agencies.
