For Premier Giorgia Meloni, a review by Moody’s Ratings this week is the chance to get the last big piece of the puzzle into place in her push to rehabilitate Italy.

With investors accepting ever-lower risk premia on its debt, the euro zone’s third-biggest economy has already won upgrades this year from S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings. A similar move by Moody’s in a scheduled report on Friday would bring Meloni and her finance minister, Giancarlo Giorgetti, a much-awaited clean sweep.
