Iran Pulls Plug on UN Nuclear Inspections After Western Rebuke

Iran officially ended all remaining cooperation with international nuclear inspectors after the United Nations atomic watchdog passed a resolution ordering Tehran to come clean about the status of its near-bomb-grade uranium stockpile.

The International Atomic Energy Agency’s board of governors demanded that Iran provide “without delay” a detailed report on its nuclear fuel inventory, according to the resolution sponsored by France, Germany, the UK and US. The proposal passed on Thursday with 19 countries voting in favor, 12 countries abstaining, and Russia, China and Niger voting against.
