Germany Pushes to Let UK Join €150 Billion EU Defense Fund

Germany is pressing the European Union to strike a last-minute deal to let the UK access the bloc’s massive defense fund before a deadline at the end of the month.

The two sides are arguing over how much money the UK should pay to participate in the €150 billion ($173 billion) fund — one of the EU’s biggest initiatives to help Europe rapidly expand its military forces in the face of Russian aggression.
