China’s state-backed iron ore buyer has appointed a new general manager to run the company, amid its increasing influence in the global market.

China Mineral Resources Group Co Ltd. said Gao Gao was chosen as director, general manager and deputy secretary of the party committee, according to a post on Chinese social media site WeChat on Thursday.
