Nigerian President Bola Tinubu postponed a trip abroad to deal with security issues after a spate of attacks, including the abduction of dozens of schoolgirls, the killing of a military general and the kidnapping of churchgoers.

Tinubu was scheduled to leave the Nigerian capital, Abuja, on Wednesday to attend the Group of 20 summit in Johannesburg this weekend, before traveling to Angola for an African Union-European Union heads-of-state meeting next week.
