The UK is no longer the most ambitious nation in the world when it comes to cutting CO2 emissions in the fight against climate change over the next decade.

Denmark’s climate minister, Lars Aagaard, announced Monday that his government would submit a binding target to cut emissions by 82% by 2035 compared with 1990 levels. That’s one percentage point higher than the UK goal set out earlier this year.
