RedBird Pulls £500 Million Bid for UK’s Telegraph Newspaper

RedBird Capital Partners has withdrawn its £500 million ($658 million) bid to buy the Telegraph Media Group amid a backlash from the UK newspaper publisher’s own staff.

The US private equity firm will “work hard to help secure a solution which is in the best interests of employees and readers,” a spokesperson said, confirming the decision.
