The US administration is set to support Hungary if the forint comes under attack by speculators, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Friday.

Orban has repeatedly mentioned potential US assistance since meeting his political ally, President Donald Trump, last week. While the forint has often been turbulent during Orban’s 15-year rule, the currency is currently trading near one-and-a-half year highs against the euro.
