House GOP Moderates Urge Deal on Expiring Health Care Subsidies
More than 20 million Americans face rising premiums, which on average would more than double.

The 13 House Republicans’ public plea, in a letter they co-signed with 19 House Democrats, signals support among some Republicans to resolve Democrats’ core demand in the 43-day government shutdown that ended this week. Most of the Republicans who signed the letter face competitive reelections next year.
