A group of European defense ministers vowed to step up cooperation on countering hybrid threats — including from drones, cyberattacks and disinformation — as disruptions from unmanned aerial vehicles become a near-daily occurrence across the continent.

Ministers from Germany, France, the UK, Italy and Poland meeting in Berlin on Friday said the efforts will involve developing drone defense systems. The informal group formed a year ago to accelerate European defense initiatives.
