Boeing Leads for 300-Jet Dubai Order Though Airbus Still in Play

Boeing Co. stands to win most of a major order from Flydubai for single-aisle aircraft, though Airbus SE still has a long-shot chance to pry some business from an airline that’s never ordered from the European planemaker.

Both manufacturers are in the running for an order of 200 narrowbody aircraft, with options for 100 more, according to people familiar with the matter. The deal may be announced at the Dubai Air Show starting Monday, said the people, asking not to be identified because the discussions are ongoing and confidential.
