UK Gets Record Bids for Inflation-Linked Debt Before Budget
An offering of UK inflation-linked bonds has attracted record orders, easing debt-sustainability concerns ahead of this month’s budget.
Investors placed more than £69 billion ($91 billion) of bids on Wednesday for a £4.25 billion UK debt syndication, according to people familiar with the sale, who asked not to be identified as the matter is private. The notes priced at 10.5 basis points above equivalent securities.
